Dear Friends Many thanks to those of you who have been in touch regarding the current transport challenges facing the communities on St.Helena and Ascension Island. The team at Atlantic Star are aware of the ongoing difficulties with the Royal Mail Ship and also the limited availability of the runway at Ascension. We are working with our industry partners to form a potential solution using the Avro RJ aircraft that we demonstrated successfully on St.Helena in October 2016. St.Helena Government are aware of our interest in an interim solution separate from the Air Access tender process and are working through a number of alternatives with the number one priority being to handle displaced passengers.
