DISCOUNTED FARES FOR St.HELENA DEPARTURES, PRIORITY CLUB PROMOTION ENDING, PLUS WINTER DATES

ATLANTIC STAR AIRLINES COMPLETES PRIORITY CLUB PROMOTION AND ANNOUNCES DISCOUNTED FARES FOR ST.HELENA DEPARTURES, PLUS WINTER FARES AND DATES

Today we have closed Priority Club to new applicants in the expectation that St.Helena Airport certification will occur some time next week. Once certification is announced we will commence ticket sales via Travelpack Marketing and Leisure Ltd (ATOL2866) All members of Priority Club will be notified immediately how to access their reduced fares through a dedicated Travelpack website, over the phone, or at Solomons Shipping and Travel at the Malabar Jamestown.

For customers who didn't join Priority Club some seats are still available on our 22/23 May and 5/6 June flights between London Luton and St.Helena. London originating return fares are as advertised starting at £1299 return, representing great value compared with a longer and more challenging journey via Johannesburg. To encourage as many people on St.Helena as possible to join in the airport "buzz" we have taken the unprecedented step of offering a huge discount on our May flights - prices will now start at an unbelievable £699 for a return flight between St.Helena and London. This price represents incredible value for money and shows our commitment to offer access to air travel to as many people as possible. We must stress this is a one time offer and will never be repeated so get ready to book as soon as airport certification is announced! Priority Club members who joined for travel on the St.Helena originating sectors will also benefit from this amazing price, and will be contacted regarding a further special offer that reflects their commitment to us.

Some of our customers have suggested that they like our service concept but need more flexibility on flight dates than we are offering in May. For this reason we will be offering one-way fares on the May and June flights. People will be able to extend their stay by flying in one direction with Atlantic Star and making their return via JNB on Comair. Prices will be very competitive in both directions, with flights departing St.Helena from as little as £499 one-way. Again, this is a unique opportunity to travel at this low price that won’t be repeated. Looking ahead to our winter programme we have confirmed dates with TUIfly for flights leaving London on 17th and 30th October and flights leaving St.Helena on 18th and 31st October. December 2016 and January 2017 dates will be announced once confirmed with TUIfly. We expect to be able to offer flexible stays of 2,3,6,8,10 or 12 weeks. More details on these flights will be announced shortly.

Our October and Christmas pricing will continue to reflect the excellent value for money and convenience that we promise to offer our travellers. The launch fares offered on our May services cannot be sustained, so Adult Return fares for October will commence at £1449 and Christmas at £1549. These price rises are partly driven by the £100 per passenger fuel surcharge imposed by St Helena Government on all passengers departing St.Helena Airport. This surcharge was not known at the time we published our May fares and so we took the decision to absorb it into our costs rather than change fares for existing customers. We cannot do this in the future as we must cover our operating costs so it has necessarily been incorporated into our fares. We would like to thank all of our Priority Club members for backing our service and also all the people who have expressed their support by email and social media channels - it really is appreciated. We will be back in touch soon regarding ticketing for May and June flights. We hope you agree that £1299 return from London is great value and that £699 from St.Helena is truly amazing (don't expect anyone to offer that fare again, ever!) We look forward to seeing you on an Atlantic Star flight soon!
