ATLANTIC STAR AIRLINES ANNOUNCES THE PRIORITY CLUB IS NOW OPEN TO APPLICATIONS
The Priority Club is being set up by Atlantic Star as a way to reward our committed followers by offering the chance to guarantee a seat on the proposed inaugural air services linking London with Saint Helena in May 2016, at a discounted fare. By securing your place now you can make your travel plans for May with increased confidence.
The Priority Club costs £50 per person to join, and will entitle you to a £100 reduction in the cost of a flight ticket. Anyone wishing to be sure of getting a seat must join in their own name, although group applications are accepted. Children can join too, and will get the same £100 reduction. You must name each person intending to travel, and will not be able to change these later on. The number of Priority Club memberships is necessarily limited, and all applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Upon successful application, you will receive an invoice for the joining fee of £50 per person to be paid within 72hrs. You will need to pay this with a credit or debit card using PayPal; setting up a PayPal account is straightforward and free, just visit www.paypal.com.
By joining the Priority Club you are not committing to buying tickets in future, but if you do change your mind we cannot give you a refund. So do be sure of your intention to travel before you sign up.
Residents of Saint Helena can apply to join the Priority Club in person at Solomons Shipping and Travel Agency at the Malabar, Jamestown. Opening hours are 8am to 3pm, Monday to Friday (excluding Good Friday and Easter Monday).
Applicants can just walk-in, and pay by cash, cheque or credit card. When joining at Solomons Shipping and Travel Agency at the Malabar, Jamestown you will not need to use PayPal. Their friendly staff will help you complete the simple form, and you’ll be signed up straightaway. Then you’ll know that you will have a guaranteed seat on our historic first services in May, and each member will get £100 off the ticket price.
The Priority Club gives you the chance to guarantee a seat when ticket sales commence, which will be as soon as practicable after St Helena Airport gains regulatory certification. We expect this to be announced around mid-April. All Priority Club members will then have 72hrs to make their bookings with our partner travel agency TravelPack Marketing and Leisure, ATOL 2866. Saint Helena residents will be able to choose to buy tickets at Solomons Shipping and Travel Agency at the Malabar, Jamestown, for a small supplement.
The first flights are proposed on the following dates, on a Boeing 737-800 operated by TUIfly (Netherlands) under their flight number, prefix OR. Flights originate at London Luton airport (LTN), and stop briefly in Banjul, Gambia (BJL) for re-fuel only in either direction. All times are expressed in local time.

The total journey time in each direction is around 12 hours. This schedule means visitors can spend a fortnight enjoying St.Helena and similarly allows St.Helena residents to visit the UK for a two week period. Ticket prices start at £1299 return in Economy class, and £1799 in Economy Plus, inclusive of all fees and taxes.

We are very pleased that Solomons of Saint Helena continue to support the Atlantic Star proposal, but wish to point out that in joining the Priority Club through them you are not entering in to any contractual relationship with Solomons. Solomons are kindly making it easier for island residents to pay the joining fee and they accept no further liability. It would be expected that those who join the Priority Club at Solomons Shipping and Travel Agency at the Malabar, Jamestown will then buy their flight tickets there too, as soon as these are released for sale after airport certification.
